While you’re out surveying, you may come across native frog activity – whether this is a sighting or hearing frog calls. Watergum is aiming to grow the current database of frog sightings in this area through relying on community reports, this can be done through the FrogID website or app.
FrogID is a free tool developed by the Australian Museum to enable us to develop a better understanding of frog populations and trends across Australia, by allowing citizen scientists to record frog calls for frog call experts to verify. Read more about how to use FrogID to record frog activities here: How To Use the FrogID App
Watergum has established a FrogID group for our ToadTrackers to join and enable us to easily compile all site data relevant to this project, for use in the analysis of data and on-ground trends. Join our FrogID group here. We are collecting data from all over Tweed for this portion of the project.
