Introduction to Watergum Water Monitoring

Welcome to Watergum’s Water Quality Monitoring Program!

This introductory course will guide you through everything you need to know to take part in our and water quality and macroinvertebrate (waterbug) and surveys. Whether you’re completely new or just need a refresher, this is a great place to start.

You’ll learn why monitoring our waterways is so important, how to collect water and waterbug samples, and what to expect on a survey day. By the end, you’ll be ready to head out and help us collect data that supports our local waterways.
