Wildlife surveys on your doorstep!
If you have an interest in the hinterland and its fascinating plants and animals, then this is an event for you. We have enough going on to keep you entertained and educated for the whole weekend!
Our third BioBlitz is coming! This is an opportunity for experienced and amateur nature lovers to spend a few hours with an expert and search for the wonderful wildlife of Numinbah Valley on November 25, 26 and 27 2022. Most of the Numinbah Valley has never been surveyed before!
The GC BioBlitz provides nature lovers with the rare opportunity to accompany experts on surveys to collect vital data on rare and endangered species, as well as a full program of presentations and workshops, delivered by the scientists and experts in their downtime.
The third BioBlitz will be bigger and better than ever! We are taking over the beautiful Bornhoffen Centre where you can enjoy recently renovated accomodation and facilities, ample green space, fire pits, a natural creek, woodland walks and a swimming pool.
For adventurous small people we will have a special kids program filled with workshops, special wildlife surveys and additional adventure activities!
Watergum is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity and is organising the BioBlitz to provide the community with a unique opportunity to experience the wonders of Australian nature. We are also committed to collecting important data for the protection of the rare and endangered species in Numinbah Valley. Ticket sales will help us to recover some of the costs associated with event. Thank you for supporting Australian native species.
