PlatypusWatch Landholder Workshop

Dive into the world of platypus conservation with Dr Tamielle Brunt from PlatypusWatch and Watergum. Learn all about this unique species, their habitat along Logan’s waterways, and how you can support and survey them on your property.

PlatypusWatch volunteers have been regularly monitoring the Albert River for over five years to collect valuable data on population dispersal. But, we need help from landholders along our waterways to gather more data on their presence and continue creating habitats that support their survival.

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn from experts, take a guided walk along a nearby waterway and enjoy an afternoon tea as you chat with other landholders.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER:

• This event is designed for private landholders situated along Logan’s waterways.
• This event will include an outdoor walk in a bushland environment with uneven surfaces and unsealed tracks. Participants must be physically able to be stand and walk through a natural area for up to1 hour.
• You must register and secure a ticket for all people attending.
• Detailed event information will be sent to the email address provided upon registering.

INFORMATION FOR THE DAY OF THE EVENT:

• Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the event to check in.
• Please wear fully enclosed shoes, sun-smart clothing, hat and sunscreen. Bring along drinking water, insect repellent and a camera or mobile phone for pictures.
• This event may be cancelled or postponed if the weather conditions aren’t suitable. We will notify you via text and email no later than 1 hour prior to the start of the event.
