Erosion Control & Pasture Management Field Day

Landholders are invited to attend a free erosion control and pasture management field day at Numinbah Valley to learn about cost effective measures to control erosion and improve soil health, pasture condition and native vegetation.

Healthy Land & Water, in partnership with Watergum Community Inc. and Seqwater, are hosting the field day for hinterland landholders to have the opportunity to look at local project sites and discuss options and practical management solutions to reduce erosion and maintain good pasture and land condition on their properties.

Following the site visits, we will head back to the Numinbah Valley Community Hall for presentations where you will have further opportunity to meet the teams and other local landholders over lunch.

Topics will include:

• Erosion control principles and small-scale, cost-effective gully erosion control options.

• Managing groundcover and riparian vegetation to assist in erosion control.

• Managing and maintaining healthy diverse pastures and good land condition.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Site visits are planned so please ensure you have appropriate clothing & footwear including a hat for the field session.
