Come along and work together with your community to control cane toads!
Cane toads are highly toxic presenting significant danger to pets, wildlife and agriculture. The plague is spreading at an alarming rate, and we need to work together to reduce their numbers and reclaim our properties and natural areas.
This session will be taking place in Kingscliff, the location will be sent to you in the reminder emails once you register your place.
We will welcome you with an educational session that covers everything you need to know about cane toads. Then we will split into groups and compete to clear the area of cane toads.
Once you are back we will count all the toads and a prize will be giving to the group who collects the most!
This is a great activity for the whole family. The skills you acquire can be put into use on your own properties, reclaim your gardens from cane toads!
Some equipment is provided but we suggest you bring your own bucket with a lid, gloves, torch and pick-up stick (optional). Please wear enclosed shoes as this is an outdoor event.
So come along if you’d like to work together with your community to help bust cane toads and protect our environment!
Let’s make a difference, let’s impact cane toads!
Please ensure that you are aware of current Covid-19 restrictions and if you feel unwell, please cancel your registration and stay at home.
