Every year, Cane Toads (Rhinella marina) wreak havoc on Australian native wildlife, poison thousands of pets and even impact local agriculture.
Cane Toads can live for over 10 years in the wild, and breed prolifically every year – a female can produce 70,000 eggs each time she reproduces! Every Cane Toad removed counts!
Getting involved is easy:
Get ready for the bust! You can join in the Great Cane Toad Bust on your own, or by teaming up with friends, family and neighbours! Check our website for community events happening near you.
Tackle Cane Toads in your area! Get out toad busting and tadpole trapping for most effective Cane Toad control. Count your catch afterwards and submit your data to join the Bust
Humanely euthanise your toads. Check out our humane euthanasia guide and responsibly dispose of all Cane Toads. In some areas, Drop Off Points accept live toads and will euthanise for you – check our website for more details!
In previous years we removed over 50,000 Cane Toads – let’s beat that this year!
It’s a fun activity for the whole family while doing something beneficial for the environment.
