Learn to love this unlikely environmental champion: Seagrass!
Gold Coast Seagrass is an established citizen science program in partnership with the City of Gold Coast, following globally standardised Seagrass-Watch scientific monitoring techniques. We collect valuable information on the regions seagrass condition while also monitoring sea turtle and seahorse presence! The Seagrass Gold Coast program raises community and government awareness in the region, aiming to distribute information on seagrass and its ecological value.
We are heading out to South Stradbroke Island on the 31st of August for another splash around.
Meeting time is at 12.00 PM at the Labrador boat ramp
Suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, if you have any questions please contact us!
This program is hosted by the Gold Coast Catchment Association and supported by the City of Gold Coast.
