Learn all about citizen science on the Gold Coast

Citizen science engages the community to contribute and add meaningful value to traditional scientific research. It helps build genuine partnerships and connection between communities and local environmental organisations.

Join us at the NaturallyGC Citizen Science Night and hear directly from the Watergum Team about their citizen science programs and how you can get involved in Platypus Watch, Water monitoring, TurtleWatch and Cane toads.

Learn more about;

  • data collection and results and how it gets captured in ESRI models and storymaps
  • demonstrations of survey equipment and use

Watergum are undertaking environmental research projects with community here on the Gold Coast through support of the City’s Catchment and Citizen Science Grants
