Koala Conservation and Drone Workshop

Join us for an engaging Koala Conservation Workshop in Logan!
Watergum has recently carried out a 50-hectare thermal drone survey of Neville Lawrie Reserve to search for local koalas, in partnership with Logan City Council.
At this workshop, we’ll share the results of the survey with the community, explore what they mean for koala conservation in the area, and showcase how drone technology is helping scientists and environmental groups protect wildlife.
You’ll also get the chance to check out our drone up close and chat with us about how it’s helping to protect koalas.
? Date: 31st January 2026
? Location: Jimboomba Community Centre (18-22 Honora Street Jimboomba)
⏰ Time: 8:30AM – 10:30AM
This workshop is perfect for landholders, community members, and anyone passionate about protecting koalas and their environment. For more information, contact Watergum at [email protected] or call 07 2103 5796.
