Friends of Nerang National Park serves to promote and enhance the natural values of Nerang National Park.
Friends of Nerang National Park is a not-for-profit group operating in partnership with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service & Partnerships.
Their primary objectives are:
- to engage the community in conservation activities in Nerang National Park.
- to assist QPWS&P in elements of land management, particularly ecological restoration.
- to engage the community in citizen science activities relevant to Nerang National Park and surrounding areas.
- to raise awareness of the natural and cultural value of Nerang National Park and surrounding areas.
- to facilitate and encourage traditional owner connection to Nerang National Park, and to integrate language, knowledge, and other cultural elements as appropriate.
- to facilitate and support research collaborations in Nerang National Park.
