Weed ID and Control Workshop

Invasive weeds pose one of the biggest threats to our natural environment, but what can YOU do about it?
During this session you will join a qualified bush regenerator on a guided walk of this location to identify different weed species and learn the appropriate methods for control. You will be shown how to use chemicals safely and effectively and how to determine whether they are necessary. This workshop will provide you with skills that you can take home to your own gardens and properties.
Please note, there are no toilets at this location!
Things to wear/bring with you:
- Long pants, long sleeves and hat
- Walking shoes (thongs and sandals are not suitable!)
- Insect repellent
- Drinking water
- Glasses (if you need them)
- Camera
- Gloves
The workshop is delivered by Watergum as part of the City of Logan’s Environmental Events and Activities Program and citizen science initiatives.
