Water Quality with Gecko – Currumbin and Tallebudgera

September 26, 2020 at 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Water Quality Testing

Learn how to assess the health of our waterways through water quality sampling!

Seize the opportunity to use our state of the art water quality probe to record vital data regarding our local water composition which is sent on to council. Water pH, oxygen levels, temperature and other parameters can have a huge impact on the quality of our waterways and on the creatures that depend on them for survival.

We encourage you to come along and meet like-minded people while learning new skills and collecting vital data!

Coordinated by Watergum and supported by the City of Gold Coast – Catchment Management Unit, the Water Quality Monitoring program is a collaborative effort between Gecko, Coomera River Catchment Group, Nerang River Keepers and Austinville Landcare.

We are heading out to our Southern sites with the Gecko crew! Meeting time is at 09:00 AM at the Gecko House in Currumbin. Please be aware that samples are not necessarily taken at the meeting place and you may be required to drive to nearby locations.
