This is the final Gold Coast Cane Toad busting challenge for this toad season!
Cane Toads cause declines in our native wildlife, poison domestic pets and have negative impacts on local agricultural industries.
We are working together to humanely and effectively control this pest species, and create safe havens for biodiversity!
This online challenge is proudly supported by the City of Gold Coast, Catchment and Citizen Science Grants Program.
The weeklong challenge will commence on Monday 4 march – join us in removing as many Cane Toads from the Gold Coast area as possible!
How does it work?
1. Participants can register via this event page.
2. Get together with friends and family, get outside and collect as many cane toads from your backyard and local environment as possible.
3. Submit your data on Watergum’s online portal to enter, and be in the running for some great prizes!
Toad busting prizes up for grabs:
1st Prize: Skywalk Family Pass
What do you need to get started?
– Bucket with a lid
– Gloves
