Find out how everything fits together in the aquatic food chain and what you can do to help keep our waterways healthy. \nKids will get the opportunity to forage for waterbugs. Don’t miss the opportunity for your kids to get curious and connect with nature! \n \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER: \n\nThis event is designed for children.\nSuitable for ages 5 years and older with parent/guardian supervision.\nThis is an outdoor event along a waterway.\nYou must register and secure a ticket for all children attending (adults are not required to register). Spaces are limited.\nDetailed event information will be sent to the email address provided upon registering.\n\n \nINFORMATION FOR THE DAY OF THE EVENT: \n\nPlease arrive 15 minutes before the start of the event to check in.\nPlease wear fully enclosed shoes (that can get wet)\, sun-smart clothing\, hat and sunscreen. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening adventure as we team up to tackle those pesky cane toads!\n\n\nGet ready for a hands-on session where you’ll play a part in reducing cane toad numbers and protecting our local biodiversity! Cane toads are widespread across the region\, posing serious threats to native wildlife\, domestic pets and local ecosystems. \nLed by experts from Watergum\, this interactive event will teach you how to identify cane toads at every stage of their lifecycle and how to safely and humanely capture them. You’ll also learn about their impact around your home and local environment\, how to toad-proof your home\, and how to create habitat for native frogs and other wildlife. \nPerfect for families\, frog lovers\, nature enthusiasts\, and anyone keen to make a positive impact in their local area – this is your chance to take action and be part of the toad busting movement! \n \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER: \n\nThis event is designed for adults and families.\nRecommended for ages 5 years and older with parent/guardian supervision.\nThis is an outdoor event in a park with uneven surfaces and unsealed tracks. Participants must be physically able to be stand and walk through a park for up to 2 hours.\nWe will euthanise and dispose of the toads humanely and responsibly after the event.\nYou must register and secure a ticket for all people attending. Spaces are limited.\nDetailed event information will be sent to the email address provided upon registering.\n\n \nINFORMATION FOR THE DAY OF THE EVENT: \n\nPlease arrive 15 minutes before the start of the event to check in.\nPlease wear fully enclosed shoes and long sleeved clothes.
