DESCRIPTION:Looking to create wildlife-friendly spaces in your yard? Come along to build a nest box for your furry or feathered wildlife neighbours.\n\n\nGet ready for a hands-on session where you’ll get the opportunity to learn how to build\, install\, monitor and maintain nest boxes for hollow-dependent wildlife. \nMany Australian wildlife rely on tree hollows for a safe place to shelter\, nest and protect their young. When natural hollows aren’t available\, nest boxes offer an alternative hollow for our wildlife neighbours. \nEach group will be provided with materials and guided through the assembly of a nest box to install in your garden. This event is a great opportunity to contribute to habitat conservation in your backyard. \n \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER: \n\nThis event is designed for adults and families.\nRecommended for ages 6 years and older with parent/guardian supervision.\nThis is an indoor event.\nOne nest box kit will be provided per group booking/property.\nYou must register and secure a ticket for all people attending. Spaces are limited – each session is set to a maximum capacity.\nDetailed event information will be sent to the email address provided upon registering.\n\n \nINFORMATION FOR THE DAY OF THE EVENT: \n\nPlease arrive 15 minutes before the start of the event to check in.\nPlease wear fully enclosed shoes\, sun-smart clothing\, hat and sunscreen. Bring along drinking water and insect repellent.\nThis event may be cancelled or postponed if the weather conditions aren’t suitable. We will notify you via text and email no later than 1 hour prior to the start of the event.\n\n \nThis workshop is delivered by Watergum.
