The Stenzel family has always had a keen interest in wildlife and the current owners maintain detailed records of flora and fauna. Quite a number of flora surveys have been conducted over the last 35 years\, and expert botanists regularly visit the property. \nBe part of the BioBlitz in 2022 by getting involved this October! This event is for everyone\, no matter what your level of expertise is. \nThe purpose of this event is to highlight both the immense biodiversity spread across the Scenic Rim\, as well as to engage the public in science and nature learning using the citizen science platform iNaturalist. Some surveys run at the same time so you will have to choose when registering what survey you would like to join as unfortunately\, you can’t join all surveys! \nSchedule to be annouched. Tickets will go live in January. \nWhat to bring: \nBYO smartphone\, sun protection & binoculars. Please wear comfortable closed-in shoes and long sleeves/pants. Be prepared and bring adequate water and food. This event is suitable for people with moderate fitness. \nAll you need to do to contribute: \n•	Download the iNaturalist application to your handheld device or make an account on your computer \n•	Join the Scenic Rim project (go to more\, projects\, Great Southern BioBlitz – Scenic Rim) \n•	Make observations over the collection period to add to our count \nScenic Rim will provide light refreshments after the survey. \n \nTo keep up to date\, follow: \nhttps://www.scenicrim.qld.gov.au/ \nhttps://www.facebook.com/ScenicRimRC \n \nPlease do not attend if you have Covid19 symptoms. \nThis program is hosted by Scenic Rim Regional Council & supported by Watergum. \nThanks to the Stenzel family for hosting the event at your property.

SUMMARY:Australia Clean Up with TurtleWatch GC @ Tallebudgera
DESCRIPTION:A TurtleWatch Beach Clean on ‘Australia Clean Up’ day by Watergum and Sea World sponsored by Landcare Australia\, Billabong and Boardriders.\n\n\nJoin TurtleWatch for a Beach Clean at various local beaches this turtle season! \nFrom November through to March\, TurtleWatch Gold Coast in collaboration with Watergum and Sea World will be visiting beaches along the Gold Coast to spread awareness about turtle activity. These beach cleans ups will aim to educate local communities on the importance of marine turtles\, their presence on the Gold Coast\, and what we can do to help! \nGuided turtles walks will run simultaneously whilst rubbish is removed from turtle nesting habitats. Please cancel if you are not able to join us so we can give your spot to someone else. \nThis program is funded by City of Gold Coast\, Landcare Australia\, Billabong and Boardriders.
