SUMMARY:POSTPONED!! Linking Springbrook and Lamington National Park
DESCRIPTION:Tree planting to continue the Gold Coast Biggest Tree Planting Day efforts and help link Springbrook NP with Lamington NP.\n\n\nThe Numinbah Valley Environmental Education Centre P&C (NVEEC P&C) is excited to continue their Landcare Led Bushfire Recovery grant 2021/22 project in April with another monthly community field day. \nOur field days are about members and community volunteers coming together to work in one of our key restoration zones in the Numinbah Valley. If you’re looking to get active and do something positive for the local environment why not join in to help us plant 800+ native plants?! \nAfterwards\, everyone is welcome to stay and enjoy a cuppa which includes our famous morning tea! \nThis month we have special guest Watergum conduct more Waterbug water quality testing on the Nerang River. Don’t miss this opportunity to participate in valuable citizen science on the Gold Coast’s water supply. \nChildren are welcome to attend\, they must be supervised by an adult at all times to ensure their safety and quality of work is maintained e.g. plants correctly planted and watered as per instructions. \nPlease bring a water bottle and wear appropriate clothing for working in the bush- including enclosed footwear \nPlease register for COVID-19 compliance. \nAddress: 2804 Nerang Murwillumbah Rd Numinbah Valley QLD 4211 \nParking: Look out for signs. Drive through paddock gate and follow trail to cleared parking area. More instructions upon registration. \nThe Landcare Led Bushfire Recovery project has been supported by the Australian Government’s Bushfire Recovery Program for Wildlife and their Habitat.
