Cane Toad Challenge Tweed Shire

February 17 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

A revolutionary new method of cane toad control that uses the toads’ own toxin against them to target every life-stage!

Watergum’s Cane Toad Challenge is coming to Murwillumbah!

Watergum has partnered with Tweed Shire Council to bring the Cane Toad Challenge to Tweed.

Trap tadpoles by the thousand and learn how to rid your properties of toads to contribute to neighbourhood eradication of this dangerous pest.

Cane toads are highly toxic at every life stage presenting significant danger to pets, wildlife and agriculture. The plague is spreading at an alarming rate and we need to work together to reduce their numbers and reclaim our properties and natural areas.

Come along at 6:30pm to sign in and order a meal and a drink. The presentation will begin promptly at 7pm and will teach you everything you need to know.

You can buy a tadpole trap on the night for $30 and we will provide you with lures for FREE!

Spaces are limited so please REGISTER!

Watergum is a not for profit organisation that strives to engage the community to help the environment. Proceeds from trap sales go into the recovery of costs for materials and further expansion of the Cane Toad Challenge program.

Let’s make a difference, let’s impact cane toads!

Please ensure that you are aware of current Covid-19 restrictions and if you feel unwell, please cancel your registration and stay at home.
