Remember in the video Emily told you that dragonflies start their lives as waterbugs and then change into dragonflies when they become an adult? We actually have a photo of that process happening in real life!
Here is a Dragonfly nymph
And here is an adult dragonfly that has just emerged from its nymph skin! When they are ready to grow into an adult, they crawl out of the water and climb as high as they can on plants trees, even tents! This means they will be safe from predators while they sit in the sun and allow their wings to dry ans straighten out before flying away!
