Meet our new Executive Officer Rosalinde Brinkman

The committee is excited to announce that we have employed an executive officer who will help us to provide even more assistance to community environmental groups. Rosalinde has already made major updates to our website. Rosalinde will support groups find and apply for grants, insurance, volunteer support and will help manage our partner and citizen science projects.

A bit more about Rosalinde:

Rosalinde was born in the Netherlands where she grew up with having a national park as her front yard. She got inspired to work for and with nature through her parents who took her on numerous hikes and always had to pull her out of trees. Rosalinde studied Wildlife Management in The Netherlands with a focus on marine environments and community engagement and completed all her practical assessments on the Gold Coast with the Griffith Centre for Coastal Management (GCCM) and Ocean Connect Incorporated. She was part of the award winning Coastal Community Engagement Program (GCCM) through volunteering, an internship and employment as well as the volunteer research and education coordinator for Ocean Connect. She has also been recognised by Gecko where she received the Beaded Gecko Award in 2016.

Rosalinde can’t wait to connect with the environmentalists on the Gold Coast!
